Tuesday-
In this session, we had a few different topics. The first of these was a talk on how to improve and use our sketchbooks. I found this particularly helpful, mainly because so far my sketchbook feels more like a notebook, rather than something that actually expresses me and how I work. I plan on working hard to turn my sketchbook into something that actually does represent me and how I work rather than just something that looks generic and boring, and only contains things I have noted down in class and have been asked to do.
The second part of this class contained the remaining presentations from the previous session on presenting. This was just as interesting as the previous presentations, as we were able to learn more about the people who hadn't had the chance to present previously.
The last part of this class was going through how to get the most out of an exhibition, and how to go about writing a review of an exhibition. It was really helpful, as I have never really enjoyed exhibitions, and have always struggled to interact with them, but have started to develop an interest in looking for more exhibitions that would interest me more, so I could use exhibitions as something extra to draw inspiration from.
Thursday-
In this session we worked on more ways to look into exhibitions, and what a curator might be thinking about when they are creating these exhibitions. We created brainstorms in groups, such as what stories they might try and tell, and how they might go about telling these stories.
